Kim Delaney, an American actress, is best known for her character detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she received an Emmy Award. Her credits are All My Children Philly CSI: Miami & Army Wives. Born as the only daughter to a top executive from the United Auto Workers and a homemaker Delaney was raised with four brothers. Though she had a goal of becoming journalist, it wasn't until high school that Delaney began to model. When she moved from New York City and gaining an experience working in commercials at New York did she achieve her dream of becoming aspiring court reporters. Her first role as an actor was as a teen innocent on All My Children, a soap opera from 1981. Delaney is well-known as an actor who has appeared involved in numerous television shows, and dramas. Delaney has not lived a satisfying or happy life in her personal. The accomplished actor has struggled with alcoholism as well as two divorces. The year 2005 was the time she was denied custody of the sole child she had.
